design for motion
In the spring of 2022, I followed an intensive "Design Bootcamp" by School of Motion. Over the course of three months, we worked on a series of briefs intended to mimic real world situations, real world clients and real world time constraints.
Below are some of my favorite projects.
art direction
Mood boards created for an ad campaign promoting Sprint's new "Unlimited Data" offer.
The first style, "Under the sky," draws inspiration from the digital nomad. Using lifestyle imagery of people in movement, we are communicating Sprint's ability to support this new approach to work, and associating it with the freedom young professionals seek today. The sky is an expression of the infinite possibilities the network can offer its clients.
The second style, "Connection," emphasizes the human need for connection and illustrates the communication networks and technology in place to facilitate that. Sprint allows you to be a part of this exciting world, without putting a cap on it.

Footage treatment and GFX design for a NASA show called "Expedition 100: Mission to Mars".
Below are two different style options with image references. The first style is going for a murky, gloomy and chaotically dangerous atmosphere. The second style, while still dark, has more of a techy, clean feel.
show open
Show open design and title design for a new dance competition show taking place in Tokyo, titled "Urban Freestyle: Tokyo Throwdown".
The colors here are inspired by nighttime Tokyo – glowing neon lights and pastels. Green screen footage of the dancers is integrated in each frame.
animated spot
Storyboards for a :15s TV spot for Everlearn.io, a startup devoted to educating the public about the issues surrounding the way higher education is sold and delivered.
These storyboards were created using the client brand guide and style reference. The provided script accompanies each frame.
In 1960, the average college grad had $4000 in student debt.
Today, that number is 10X higher
with some owing more than $200,000.
We think learning
shouldn’t be a luxury. Go to everlearn.io
to find out more about the New Education.
trailer gfx
Opening title card and end card design for a trailer for "12 Kilometers," a horror film.
The six boards below show the opening title card and end card design, along with a transition to and from footage for each.
music video style
Below are the initial two sets of style frames I created for the Born On Third Base music video. You'll find the final product here.
Over the course of the project, with many hands touching it, the style evolved a lot, but I'm still proud of my initial pitch.
